A younger me might've said beauty.

Every word I ever wrote was in pursuit of it; everyone I ever loved was the personification of it. I saw it where no one else did and believed in it where others thought it impossible. My peers were obsessed with the surface of it. I felt it behind everything, blood through the veins of the world, everything glowing with darkness and light. Everything connected by it.

Beauty isn't the word for it, of course. I just didn't know what else to call it. Still don't, I guess... but we'll call it magic, because that's what it feels like. I was in love with the magic of this whole crazy world. I fell in love with people who could see it too.

I see very clearly. The moment we open our eyes for the first time. We see beauty and be inspired by it till the end of time.

Beauty is the source of all true art and science. Without it the world will never move forward.

Stay beautiful.

I think that you and my friend Lauren would have a wonderful conversation on this topic. It was her first love too.

This is perfect, and speaks so much to something I've felt for my whole life. I haven't been able to distinctly name it, either, but I think it's interesting that the word "beauty" makes sense to me in this context. And something that I think we both have in common is that our standard of "beauty" is not necessarily what other people think of... To me, beauty is... livelihood? Humanity? Neither of those really fit, but I can understand exactly the sense of feeling a life inside something, an energy source that cannot be described or contained, but just is, and we as humans get to cultivate it.

YES. Yes yes yes. It's that "aliveness" I mean - sometimes inanimate things have it, and sometimes living breathing humans don't. It makes things shine on my mental map of the world. There isn't a word for it really, not a proper one, but beauty and magic and life and humanity are all pieces of it.

Thank you for seeing what I was trying to say, sweetling. :) *hugs tight*

beauty broke the chain some how...

when reading words that meld, clearly into the thoughts and emotions of another, what words are there to use, outside of the common "I agree?"

no matter what people say is beautiful, "the eye of the beholder" may ring true in some cases, but there is also a collective of shared beliefs, or what we call culture (in some respects).

like our unique personalities, we all are beautiful: in more ways than one, in one way or another, and so on. some people shine with it, even if people don't see it from the physical surface and over-lapping skin. when you dig in and find something like a treasure, buried deep within their words and actions, you can find that "beauty." And some times, you may be the only one that sees it and it's yours to cherish.

in other words, i agree, understand and kudos.
